How to Vote

The deadline for requesting a ballot in the vote-by-mail election to create a new TDD (Transportation Development District) that would expand the streetcar line has passed.

The 16th Circuit Court mailed out ballots starting on June 20, 2017.  If you believe you requested a ballot, but did not receive it, you can call the court at 816-881-6671 to inquire about the status of your ballot.

Once you receive your ballot, make sure you follow the instructions to fill it out and submit it.  This is a mail-in election and the rules are very specific.

THIS PART IS IMPORTANT: Once you fill out your ballot, you must have it notarized in order to have it counted.

Do NOT sign the envelope into which your ballot goes until you are in front of a notary.  It MUST be signed in the presence of a notary.

Check out our “Get Notarized” page for more information on how and where you can get your ballot notarized.

Your ballot must be received by the circuit court by 5:00 pm CT on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 in order to be counted.
